Pixelmator

The Pixelmator Team on Wednesday announced the release of Pixelmator1.0, its new image editing software for MAC OS X. Pixelmator costs $59, and a demo version is available for download, free.

Special features of Pixelmator include "Layer from iSight," which lets you take a snapshot using your built-in video camera; and the Photo Browser palette, which offers quick access to the iPhoto library, events, albums, Smart Albums, and items in your Pictures folder.

Pixelmator works with more than 100 different file formats, and comes with more than 15 color correction tools and 50 Core Image-based filters, transform tools, file and stroke, Gradients, QuickMask mode, full-screen editing mode, Automator support, ColorSync support, Spotlight support and more.

Pixelmator requires Mac OS X v10.4 or later and a Mac equipped with a Core Image supported graphics card.
